My May Good Morning Work {Math} Pack has been out for a few days and I have put together a bundle for both to save you some serious moolah.  If you pick it up this year, you will save even more ciz-ash!!!

Wait . . . don't leave quite yet.  I wanted to have a "new" something for Mother's Day, but I just didn't get there this weekend.  Boo!  However, I did put together a little mommy freebie last year that's still available.

Early May is always nuts for us . . . especially right around Mother's Day.  It's right before Open House, trimester three assessments kick off, and our BIG Rodeo Day falls that Friday before Mom's Day.  It's a killer.  So, last year I came up with a no-brainer quickie to slip in the mix.  It's a low-prep photo card that requires one whole class lesson or center rotation.  The only work on your part is a little cutting and copying.  We also paint pre-made garden stakes (thank you Michael's), but I digress . . .

One of these days I vow to rock Mommy Day, but I am afraid that this just ain't the year for me :(  However, if y'all do have the time, I have seen some AMAZING new crafts from some top notch bloggers show up this year.  Oh, and Ron Brown has the SWEETEST Mother's Day tune.  If you are hosting a Mommy Day event, there is still time to learn this darlin' little ditty.

Alright, I don't think I will be able worm out of yard work two days in a row, so I am going to go join the hubby outside.  Thanks for visiting today and have a wonderful Sunday wherever you may be!  I'll be back soon to tell you all about my Summer Vacay Pack and {fingers crossed} my latest creation.

MOMMIES + END OF THE YEAR CRAFT FREEBIE

First and foremost today, I want to give a shout out to all you mommies out there.  You just gotta know that you are more than special to all of your little babes :)  My sweet mom is one in a million.  She's strong, smart, giving, passionate, and loving.  She's the whole package I tell ya.  One of these days my luck will change and the hubs and I will be blessed with a little sweetie of our own.  I can only hope that I can be even half the mother mine is to me. And, I am going to call it right now, just to let the record show . . . this woman is going to absolutely KILL the roll of grandma :)

Some things never change . . . I love you to the moon and back, mom!
Speaking of sweet mommies, I had some bloggers ask me to explain the Mother's Day Drop-In event that I hosted on Friday.  So, here's my attempt to do just that.  With the week being as crazy as it was, I opted to simplify every thing this year.  My goal was to offer up an outlet for moms to spend some time with their babes in the classroom setting.  We didn't have a performance and we didn't host a big party . . . it was simply a "come when you can" event.  I also have a few students with really big "mommy issues" this year.  It absolutely crushes one of my babes when the mom subject even comes up.  This also played into these low-key plans.

How did this roll, you ask?  Well, I sent a note home the week before outlining Friday's schedule (it was a crazy one with all the rodeo events).  It outlined the day and let moms know what we were offering up (I included a copy of it below).  I had a rough estimate of how many moms were coming and I used that to set up a Mommy Refreshment Station.  I wish I had a photo of it . . . the day just got away from me and I spaced snappin' one.  It had flowers, cookies, lemonade, mini waters, and a fun little sign.  Students served their moms . . . it was cute.

I am going to switch gears on you a bit now . . . it's time for End of the Year talk.  On that note, I have a little freebie for you today.  I made this ditty last year and it is hiding in my TPT Shop.  Once Open House hits and the crazy themed artwork, writes, and other projects are sent home (I get sick of looking at this stuff rather quickly and I make it go away that very next week), my walls always seem to look so lonely.  SO, I came up with Memory Makers.  This fun little craft looks great up on the wall and the kids seem to really enjoy it.

I will be running with this in a few weeks . . . just gotta make it through our big Africa theme first.  BLARG!  Open House it May 23rd for us and we still have so much more to cover.  Oh, I almost forgot (I got all worked up when I uttered those words . . . Open House).  I have a corresponding write and a ready- made bulletin board sign to go with this project.  Snag these templates down below.

Alright, I am out of here.  Going to plan for next week, call my mommy, and get my bum to the grocery store . . . I refuse to have PB& J for dinner again! If you have any additional questions about the Mommy Drop-In, please do not hesitate to ask.  Thanks for visiting and Merry Sunday to you :)

DEAR MOMMY - MOTHER'S DAY CARD

With Mother's Day inching closer and classroom chaos on high (this time of year is NUTS), I thought I would share a card idea.  I have never really been happy with the Mother's Day cards I've run with in the past, so I played around today and created one.  Check it out . . . you can snag it on TPT for FREE.

**I also have my first contest up and running.  CLICK HERE to find out more about how to win a $25 Teachers Pay Teachers Gift Certificate!!!
Love this girl . . . such a cutie!
I HEART this one too!!  She's a delight :)

In addition, Ron Brown's Intelli-Tunes is offering up their heart-warming Mother's Day Song for single-song download for a limited time. "Moms" is a great tune that the kids love to track and sing.  In addition, you could use it during a classroom Mother's Day presentation (set it to photos and perform as seen on this YouTube link). I hope to get my act together in time to pull something like this off next year!

On a sentimental note this evening, I want to give a shout out to my mommy. She's the best a girl could ask for and I am so lucky to call her mom. From our TJ Maxx shopping trips and planting flower beds to family dinners and movie nights, I absolutely treasure our time together.  I've gotta whole lotta love for my mommy . . . how 'bout you?
